Recipe Catcher is designed to protect your privacy. In short: it collects nothing, sends nothing, and has no accounts, ads, or trackers. Everything happens locally in your browser, on your device.
None. Recipe Catcher does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information or usage data. There are no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no user accounts.
Recipe Catcher includes a small helper that loads on the pages you visit. On each page it checks, locally, whether that page's markup contains structured recipe data — that check is what lets it offer the "Catch this recipe?" prompt. When — and only when — you then click Catch this recipe, it reads that single page in full to extract the ingredients and instructions.
Both the check and the extraction happen entirely on your device. No page content and no recipe text is ever sent to us or to any third party.
The extension uses your browser's local extension storage to keep:
This data stays on your device, is accessible only to the extension, and is removed when you uninstall the extension. It is never uploaded anywhere.
Recipe Catcher does not use any third-party services, SDKs, servers, or networks. It makes no network requests of its own.
Because the extension collects no data at all, it collects no data from children.
